龟山崩塌遗迹Guishan collapse relic

龟山崩塌位于龟山东坡，龟山峰顶上由厚层灰岩构成的悬崖峭壁在自然及人为因素影响下发生崩落，大小不一的石块散落于山坡之上，分布面积1.14km2，崩塌体总体积约10万m3，为一中型崩塌地质遗迹。崩塌体标高在200～331m之间。目前，分布于山体顶部的危岩体仍处于不稳定状态，对龟山东坡植被及地面建筑构成威胁，应加强监测与防护。此遗迹保存完好，具有较高的教学考察及科普价值。
Guishan collapse is on the east side of Guishan hill. The cliff composed of thick-bedded limestone on the top of Guishan collapsed because of the natural factors and human factors. The stones in different size distributed on the hillside in an area of 1.14 square kilometres, and the total volume of the collapse is about 100,000 cubic metres. It is a medium-sized collapse relic and the elevation is between 200 to 331 metres. At present, the instable rocks are still in unstable state. This threatens the vegetation on the east hillside of Guishan and the buildings on the ground so it need to be monitored and protected. The well-preserved relic has a value of teaching, investigation and popular science. |
